Tata Selo - A Frail Man

In a world where there is a line of status, those who have and those who have nothing. This status symbolizes a person's life in their entire life—those who have gained more justice than those who have nothing. The more power a person has, the more respect he gains, and the less power he has the less respect he gains. Even if the world turned upside down, wealth still has the power to rule the world. The story by Rogelio Sikat entitled “Tata Selo” illustrates how justice works in the Philippines. The character Tata Selo, a poor old man, represents those who experience injustice where they cannot defend themselves and are despised by others. It is well known that Tata Selo killed Kabesang Tano, but a fair and equal trial did not happen.
